Andrew Joel Henning, 41, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2026, leaving behind a profound sense of loss for all who knew and loved him.
Andy was born on Sept 8, 1984, in St. Johns, MI. He later made his way to Washington, D.C., where he worked as an IT specialist but continued to grow into the creative and vibrant person so many came to know. Eventually, he settled in Twentynine Palms, California, a place that matched his artistic spirit and love for expression.
A true creative at heart, Andy had a deep passion for art. He saw beauty in the world in his own unique way and brought that vision to life through his work. His creativity extended beyond traditional art into his disco ball business, where he combined imagination, craftsmanship, and joy – bringing light, movement, and celebration into the lives of others.
He had a special love for disco culture, embracing its music, energy, and sense of freedom. Whether working on his creations or enjoying the rhythm of his favorite songs, he carried that vibrant spirit with him wherever he went.
Though his life was far too short, Andy leaves behind a legacy of creativity, individuality, and love. He will be remembered for his artistic vision, his unique pursuits, and the warmth he shared with family and friends.
Andy is survived by his father Joel (Catherine) Henning, sister Kelly (Corey) Reck, step-brother Luke Leslie, nephew Connor Reck, niece Kinsley Reck, grandmother Ruth Henning, grandmother JoAnn Post, step-Father Charles (Julie) Dildine, step-Sisters Madison (Kyle) Dildine and Therese (Jon) Richardson, aunts Paula Audas, Jean Ruestman, Carole (Steve) Desprez, Sue (Mike) Barrett, uncles Alan (Lynn) Henning, Tony Post, and Alan (Laura) Post. Also survived by many great aunts and uncles, cousins, step-nieces and nephew, and many wonderful friends.
Andy was proceeded in death by his mother Rhonda Dildine, grandfather Paul Henning, grandfather Art Post, aunt Cathy Post, uncle Dan Eller.
A celebration of life will be held on May 16, 2026, from 1- 4pm at the Emerald Golf Course, St. Johns, MI. There will be a prayer and time for sharing thoughts and stories at 1:30pm.
Food will be provided.
