Barbara Josephine Rennie's Obituary
Barbara Josephine Rennie (Moore) passes away peacefully February 20th, 2019 in Cherry Valley, CA. She was 82.
Born July 26th, 1936, Barbara was raised in Compton, CA by her mother Josephine Moore (Acebo). After graduating Compton High School, Barbara became a homemaker and mother of three in Lakewood, CA. The longtime Lakewood resident spent her golden years living in Beaumont, CA near her childhood friend Joanne Herman.
Barbara’s favorite hobbies included gardening, decorating and travelling. Before the effects of Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s took away her quality of life, Barbara achieved her dreams of travelling to Alaska, Mexico, and Hawaii.
Barbara is survived by her oldest daughter Sandi Fletcher (Rennie) and her son, Mark Rennie. Before leaving us, Barbara became the grandmother of eight, and was within a few short months of becoming a great-grandmother.
It is of special note that Barbara had to endure outliving her second child, Stephanie, from which she never fully recovered. The family takes comfort in knowing that they are now reunited.
Barbara will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA next to her daughter Stephanie. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to https://www.parkinson.org/
