Benjamin Preciado Hernandez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin Preciado Hernandez, who departed from this earthly life but never from our hearts. Born on November 27, 1955, in San Jose de Los Guajes, Jalisco, Mexico, Benjamin was the beloved son of Jose Guadalupe Preciado and Maria Magdalena Preciado Hernández. He was the third of eleven children.
Benjamin graduated from Rubidoux High School in 1975, where he played soccer during his junior and senior years. He went on to work as a skilled welder, dedicating most of his life to his craft. Known for his deep voice and serious demeanor, those who truly knew him understood the warmth, kindness, and generosity that lay beneath. He had a heart of gold and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Benjamin is survived by his beloved children, Benjamin Preciado and Liliana Preciado, and their mother, Elsa. He is also survived by his devoted parents, three brothers, six sisters, and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Benjamin was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of quiet strength, generosity, compassion, thoughtfulness, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Viewing for Benjamin will be from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm and a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Preciado Funeral Home, 923 W. Mill Street, San Bernardino, California.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1106 N. La Cadena Drive, Colton, California. Benjamin will be laid to rest thereafter at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery.
A reception in Benjamin’s honor will follow immediately after the services at Preciado Funeral Home's Courtyard from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
