know I am not supposed to say this, but Carlos Chavez was one of my favorite students. He was at Redlands Adult School when I started. He was always the loudest and always the student who brought everyone together. People gravitated toward his energy because he was just a nice guy who always made everyone laugh. He called me Mrs. Troncozita.
We were so proud when he graduated and even more proud when he continued his studies at Crafton. He wanted to study math and also wanted to study spanish. He was there to support at any event I planned during my first year as a school counselor. He went to every college and career fair, every field trip, our first summer bridge program and even helped me speak at a board meeting. Even if he didn’t necessarily need to be there, he showed up and asked what I needed help with. His energy reminded me of my own family. You will be missed tremendously. We are so proud of you Carlos.
Years and years of great memories with you my friend. There will definitely be a big void without your presence, but we know that you will be looking down on us each time with that big smile.
You will be greatly missed my Brotha. Rest In Peace Carlos and “we’ll see you, see you on the other side”.

I’m at a lost for words..May you Rest In Peace Carlos, you will surely be missed!!!! This video is when you officially finished school and got to pin your cap on the famous bored!!!! You always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face....
I will miss you Carlos. Thank you for being the kind loving person you were. Everyone loved you!
I had the honor of knowing this loving soul. Since day one of meeting him in class, there was NEVER a dull moment. He made sure we always had a smile. Made sure to light that fire under our butts to never give up. Being in adult school it was often that students would come and go but with Carlos in class he always encouraged us to never give up. Thank you Carlos for making me smile and laugh in and out of school. Give Momma a hug for me
