Christian Alan Petrie's Obituary
Christian Alan Petrie, 55, of Crestline, CA, passed away unexpectedly on January 23,
2024. He was born March 22, 1968 to Alan Lee and Danielle Costick Petrie in Hyannis,
MA. He graduated from Mt. Mansfield High School in Jericho, VT in 1986. He then went
on to become a proud Marine. Chris worked over 30 years for the Federal Government
as a motor carrier safety inspector. He was a passionate motorcyclist and gamer. As a
proficient mechanic, Chris helped many friends in need. Toyotas were his car of choice.
He kept his ’93 Corolla wagon on the road for years. Chris is survived by his lovely
daughter, Kristiana “Ana” Petrie, and her mother, his ex-wife, Katsue ”Chico” Sunagawa,
along with his mother, Dani, his brother, Matthew, and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, and many friends and coworkers. Chris is predeceased by his father and both
sets of grandparents; Pete and Jackie Petrie, Ted and Dany Costick, and his beloved
dog, Jasper. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Vermont.
