David Donald Romo's Obituary
David Donald Romo November 09, 1960 - August 22, 2013, Resident of Colton, CA. After a courageous 14 year battle with kidney failure, David passed away from cardiac arrest in Fontana, CA. David was born and raised in Fontana and graduated from Fontana High School. He held a position with the Fontana Unified School District as a custodian and a printer for over 20 years, retiring early due to his battle with kidney failure.
He was one of twelve children born to the late John and Josephine Romo and was the beloved husband of Diana Romo. David will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers John Romo, Henry Romo, Ralph Romo, and Albert Castaneda, sisters Patricia Brocks, Mary Duran, Loretta Cabrera, Diana Mondragon and Gloria Sais, beloved children Crystal Lewison, Michael Romo, Darlene DeCola, and Amber DeCola treasured grandchildren Jiraiya, Cruz, Bradley and Julieanne , along with godchildren Elaine Morales, Crystal Nicholson, Michael Brocks, Bryan Romero, and Savannah Rodriguez along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. He is now reunited with his father, mother, brother Fernando Romo, sister Frances Romo and he’s beloved pet dog Coco. David loved listening to oldies, fishing, football (Chicago bears) cooking, barbequing, laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends and making everyone laugh with his sense of humor. David was a man that just melted everyone’s heart who had the honor of meeting this great man. He would do just about anything and everything to lend a helping hand even if it meant to take the shirt off his back to give to someone. He loved to joke and gave everyone nick names that was his way of remembering faces he met. David is and was one of the sweetest; most compassionable husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather, cousin and FRIEND you could have ever had the honor of meeting. David will be greatly missed by everyone whose heart he touched.
David touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday August 30, 2013 from 4:00pm-9:00pm at Preciado Funeral Home, 923 W Mill Street, San Bernardino, CA 92410.
