Dolores "Lola" Galindo's Obituary
Dolores "Lola" Galindo, 79, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones on August 21, 2014.
Born in San Bernardino on April 20, 1935 to Ralph and Nicholasa Morales. She was one of 17 children. Lola has been married to Martin Galindo for 65 years, they have 8 children, 35 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
For many years Lola worked for the Bondamins and over time became good friends with her employer. She was actively involved with several church organizations donating countless hours cooking for various functions. She enjoyed camping and vacationing with her family and friends. Lola was a wonderful cook and used her meals to show her love to her family. It's been said that "she could make one lonely bean taste good." Her dishes will surely be missed just as much as she will be. Lola was devoted to her family and spent most of her life caring for and spending time with her loved ones. She was certainly the best of wife's, mom's and grandma's. Her love and commitment kept the family close and strong.
She is survived by her Husband Martin, sons; Martin Jr. and Bacon Galindo (Elaine), daughters; Irene Ramos(Lawrence), Maria Agudo ( Mike), Sylvia Setser (Bob) and Carol Galindo, and Daughter-in-Law (Inez ),brothers, Chuy, Junio and Bear, sisters, Sally, Vina, Julia, Juana, Teresa, Yolanda, Georgette, and Lucille. She is preceeded in death by sons, Raymond "Lumber" and Richard Galindo, parents Ralph and Nicolasa and grandchildren, Tina Torres and June Rivera and siblings Rosie, Carolina, Leroy and Tony.
Viewing services will be held Thursday August 28, 2014 at Preciado Funeral Home in San Bernardino, CA from 4pm-9pm with a memorial service starting at 7pm.
Church service will be held Friday August 29, 2014 at Preciado Funeral Home at 11am.
Interment to immediately follow at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery in Colton, Ca.
