Elsa Vineta Siebert's Obituary
Elsa Vineta Vida Siebert was born on Oct 1, 1920 in Joplin, MO. The 10th child of Joseph Harvey Cornell and Vinnie Arvilla Robertson. She married young and had one son, Bobbie Joe Musgrave. She left Joplin, following her older sisters to California where there was a better opportunity for work and future for a woman. She went to work at Lockheed where she met Ralph Siebert. They married on July 7, 1946 and remained together until his death in 1990. She worked 14 years at the Bank of America, retired for a while and then returned to work at both an insurance agency and with an Inheritance Tax appraiser. Elsa is survived by her son, Bobbie and grandchildren, Troy, Tim, Ralph, Kurt, Tony, Bobby and Jennifer; 20 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, her last surviving sister Lily Eidem and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom said that when she was speaking with Elsa and she was feeling upset or complaining about shaking so much, she would suggest that she read the 23rd Psalm – sometimes they would say it together.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Awake, I’m thinking of you,
Asleep, I’m dreaming of you,
I’m thinking and crying,
I’m sleeping and weeping.
The pain that I have lost you cannot be eased,
My desire to be with you cannot be pleased,
Some people say time will heal the pain
In my heart your memories will FOREVER remain.
