Esperanza Baltier Galindo

Esperanza Baltier Galindo was born April 15th 1940 to Adela Baltier and Juan Lopez, along with 3 siblings, older sister Raquel, and younger siblings Albert and Cristina Lopez. When Raquel and Esperanza were young they worked extremely hard to eradicate rattlesnakes from the city of Glendale, she stated that her and Raquel would leave the house as very mature 5 and 6 year olds They would grab a hatchet and head out to the hills to search for them.As you can see they were not afraid of creepy crawling things. Esperanza was a spitfire being multilingual she spoke spanish, english and majored in sarcasm, even though she stood tall at 5’0 she was not afraid of anyone or anything wrong was wrong and right was right, As Esperanza grew up they lived on and off with their nana Ramona( who taught them to help a fellow man) Esperanza shared a story about her grandma always making what little food she had go a long way she would make burritos and tell the kids to run out and give them to some transient workers the kids would ask do you know them? She said no, then why do you feed them? Because I have sons and if my sons needed food I'd like to think because I do this that maybe someone would feed mine too. Esperanza never forgot that story and she shared that kindness to many people throughout her life. Esperanza married Alfred (Cheddy) Galindo May 3rd ,1956 they welcomed Patricia (Patsy) 1957, Alfred (Freddy) 1959,Adela 1960, Frank (Franky) 1961, and Jose Luis (Joey) 1962 even though her and Alfred( Cheddy) Galindo would go on to divorce she had a deep love for her ex husband saying he was the love of her life,Esperanza would go on to marry 2 more times but unfortunately they did not work out. Esperanza worked for San Bernardino County as a financial specialist in the mental health department later retiring as an intake specialist in the same department. Esperanza was an extremely busy woman between working and maintaining her household it was always full of children between adopting her granddaughter daughter Jewel Galindo, raising her 1st 2 grandchildren Alfred and Andrea on and off throughout their lives, also raising her grand daughters Ruby and Francesca Galindo, and later in her golden years adopting Cierra and Viviana Galindo she enjoyed being a motherly nana figure to everyone who were in her presence she loved to teach about God, feed you, offer wisdom when asked or needed and to teach ( she had such a knack for all of the above) Esperanza had a love for storytelling often offering fantastic views on things such as going on a walk,she always told how what if the little weeds that were popping out of the concrete were really large trees and ants were really tiny people and we were giants? That always made walking so much more fun, she had a very vivid imagination and shared that with her children who were extremely good undiscovered artists who shared that with their kids and so on.Esperanza was blessed with 10 grandchildren (Patricias) Alfred, Andrea and Javier Cochran,( Alfreds) Esther, Mi Vida, Lisa and Esperanza (Frank) Jewel, Ruby and Francesca Galindo,through this lot she was blessed with 38 great grandchildren 16 great great grandchildren. Esperanza’s goals in life were to teach her loved ones about the love and forgiveness of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. All of us here have been blessed from all the prayers she stayed up at night hoping and praying we would take the seed she planted in us. Esperanza was greeted in heaven by all her precious children and her 1st grandson Alfred Cochran III (Alfred passed last year and told her he would walk really slow so they could walk together when she was ready) she also had her baby brother Albert and many more family to join in on the reunion. Esperanza was such a sunbeam for God she will be missed by so many, her presence is missed by so many but we hope by meeting this amazing woman of God and her fantastic stories and vivid imagination and the love, laughter and kindness that your life was blessed and you will go on to spread the joy she so lovingly shared.
