Hope was the kind of person who cared for people. I know this because we were next-door neighbors for many years. She was a hardworking Lady/Mother caring for her nine (9) children.
We moved in next-door to the Sloan Family (Sloany's) when my little sister, Jeanne was 5. Our mother passed when Jeanne was 3. Hope and her children welcomed my little sister into their family like she was one of their own, so to this day we are proud to call her a "Sloany" thank you.
Our families weren't the wealthiest, but we survived with what little our families had. Hope taught the girls to make the best cornbread ever. Thank you!
I will always remember how she took time away from her family to comfort and care for me by staying at the hospital for hours when I cut my foot pretty bad, (dumb I know, but it was the fad back in the days to go barefooted).
The LORD was there to welcome Hope with open and comforting arms.
Thank you Hope and the "Sloany's" for being so caring and loving.
May the LORD comfort and bless your family in the loss of a great Mother.
Thank you and love you, GOD Bless.
