Luis Arciniega Mariscal's Obituary
October 11, 1925 – August 18th 2014, Luis Arciniega Mariscal, 88 died on Monday, August 18th, 2014, at Highland Palms Health Care Center in Highland, CA of natural causes. He was born on October 11, 1925 in Santa Maria del Oro, Durango, Mexico to Ladislao and Margarita Arciniega. He grew up in Santa Maria del Oro, Durango, Mexico. He married Concepcion Gonzalez on October 17, 1956.They raised their family in Mexicali, Mexico, they later moved to San Bernardino and settled in Highland, CA. He worked as a driver most of his life, mainly transport and later taxi driver. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and a beloved grandfather. He’ll be remembered as a funny, loving and earnest man.
Survived by his wife Concepcion, of 57 years; three daughters, Gloria, Patricia and Rosalba; one son Jose Luis; brother, Silverio Arciniega and four grandchildren who he raised as his own – Alejandra, Fernando, George and Hannah.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, 10am, at Preciado Funeral Home, 923 W. Mill St. San Bernardino, CA 92410. Committal will be held at 1pm at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St., Loma Linda, CA 92354.
