Lupe Garcia Solorio's Obituary
Lupe Garcia Solorio, 75, of Highland, CA., entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2018 in Loma Linda, CA. Lupe was born on November 5, 1942 to Henry and Margaret Garcia in Los Angeles, CA and was one of eight children. Lu spent her childhood years in Norwalk, CA where she later attended Norwalk High School. Loved by all those who knew her, Lupe was known as Vieja, Mom, Nana and Lu. We will always remember her contagious laugh, her amazing cooking and her love for an evening at San Manuel playing bingo.
Lupe is survived by her husband of 40 years, Daniel Castorela, children, Frank Solorio of Brea, CA., Jeannette Solorio of La Puente, CA., Ernie Solorio of Lancaster, CA., Jackie Solorio of Clairmont, CA., Ruben Solorio of Pomona, CA., Esther Aceves of Redlands, CA. and Paula Moore of Highland, CA. Nana leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Lu are her sisters, Esther (Juan) Castillo of Tulare, CA., Margie (Eric) Zuniga of Rancho Cucamonga, CA., and brothers, Robert Garcia of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA., Martin Garcia of Barstow, CA. and Joe (Shirley) Alvarez of Tulare, CA.
Lupe is preceded in death by her grandson, Gabriel Solorio, parents, Margaret Alvarez and Henry Garcia and her brothers, Sonny Garcia and Ben Garcia.
She is forever missed.
A Memorial Service will be held in honor of our beloved Lupe on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00am with burial and reception immediately following all to be held at Preciado Funeral Home, 923 W. Mill Street, San Bernardino, CA 92410, 909.383.1108
