I met a man early in my marriage that changed how I viewed " unconditional love" as l saw it. Turned out this man with a warm welcome smile was the father of a girl l went to school with. He had a grand daughter that in time would enter our hearts and become the mother of our grandbabies. Papa was there for me when my wife and l took in a nephew. Papa would tell me, I know' l know , just love him as much as he needs to be loved. Papa wasn't only a mentor to my nephew but to anyone who would befriend him. Papa had such love for my family and was happy to share his Grandbabies with us. Both nana & papa were there during some of our difficult times like when my precious mom passed. Papa shared his fondest memoris of both moms. Not without shedding tears. I could feel the pain from his heart even though it's been years . Papa what I am going to miss is your warm smile, caring words for all, your understanding and forgiveness for all who troubled you. You told me when trouble comes your way, just love them more and more. Give them as much love as they need. Well papa, I am sure your moms were happy to get you in their arms. Say hi to my mom for me. Tell her, her spoiled/crybaby son awaits to feel her kisses again. Until then, I will shed tears like you. You will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have shared a moment with you. Thanks again nana and papa for opening your house and your hearts to all of my family. Love you my friend.
