Michael William Clavesilla

In loving memory of Michael “Clavo” William Clavesilla. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was born March 7, 1972, in Maywood, CA. to parents, the late Gregory R. Clavesilla Sr. and Bertha Romero He grew up in a large family with many brothers and sisters. Michael became a young father and had his first child, Brooke Clavesilla, on September 28, 1988. Later, Michael married the girl next door, Elvia R. Clavesilla, who became his wife on April 7, 2001. They raised their 3 boys together, Michael, Christopher and Gregory and were blessed with two grandchildren, Noah and Ayda. Michael was known to his family and friends as a loving, caring and charismatic person. He was incredibly witty and was always ready to make you laugh, cry with you during happy or sad times and tell you he loved you every chance that he could. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was not afraid to let you know how he felt. Michael had the “gift of the gab” and had a way of making every person he met feel extra special with his words, his beautiful smile and his special hugs. Michael had an unbelievable love for his family. He called his mother and siblings almost every day just to tell them he loved them or to make them laugh. He tried to be a good father to his children and loved and held them all the time. Even as grown adults, they were always his Brookie, Mikey, Chrissy and Greggy, his babies. He would do anything for them and support them even when they didn’t make the best decisions and gave them advice as best as he could. He never missed a baseball, basketball or football game, a school event, graduation, celebration or a birthday. Just as much, he also adored his grandchildren! He would encourage his grandson as he would encourage all “his boys” to grow up to be great men. He was over the moon when his “monkey” was born. His first and only granddaughter. He danced with his granddaughter in his arms since the day she was born. As she got older, they both loved to dance and would have “dance off” competitions to see who had the best moves. Michael loved his wife, Elvia, and would tell her “I love you” at least a hundred times a day. He was a faithful and loyal husband and would find different ways to show his love for her, such as bringing her red roses for no reason, making her a seafood dinner when he hated seafood or telling her she was beautiful even when she didn’t feel that way. That was the unconditional love of Michael. His spirit and charm endeared him to everyone that met him. His heart was big enough to share with everyone and everybody loved him. Michael passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Highland, CA. He will always be lovingly remembered and is survived by his wife, Elvia R. Clavesilla, Daughters, Brooke J. Clavesilla, Hailey S. Clavesilla (RIP) Sons, Michael G. Clavesilla, Christopher D. Clavesilla, and Gregory R. Clavesilla III, Grandchildren, Noah T. McCravey and Ayda E. Clavesilla, Daughter-in-law, Monique E. Clavesilla Brothers, Gregory R. Clavesilla, Jr., Rafael Romero, Robert J. Clavesilla, Alex Clavesilla and Jesus Clavesilla Sisters, Alejandra Romero, Isabel Pokershing-Romero, Michelle Marquez, Monique Ochoa-Clavesilla, and Flora I.
