Monica Vargas-Mitchell's Obituary
Monica Vargas-Mitchell passed away on January 3rd, 2024 at the age of 64.
Monica was born in California on May 14, 1959 to Mary and John De La Cruz. Her siblings are Dolores , Raymond , Timothy , Lazarus , Edward , Joanne, Victoria and Aurora. She was blessed with three beautiful children of her own Adam, Amanda and Sara, two son-in-laws Miguel and Jonathan and one stepdaughter who she thought of as her own Kristy. Monica was extremely blessed with 19 grandbabies who were her whole heart as she would say.
Monica was a high school graduate from Pacific High where she was on the swim team with some college at Cal State University of San Bernardino ( she would want us to add that in there )
She always had a strong relationship with God and would find a church to attend wherever she lived. Well she was in her home she would watch New Life Church and The Way Church online. She was often found praying and wouldn’t let anyone interrupt her while doing so.
Monica was a storyteller. She loved to tell all sorts of stories, and found joy is reading and doing cross word puzzles. She absolutely loved Iron Man, and her favorite movie was the Wizard Of Oz. This is just to name a few things among all that she loved and enjoyed.
Monica was strong and a fighter. In her last few years she battled with her health and it wasn’t always easy for her, but she held on for us till she couldn’t any more. Within those years she grew a softer heart, she found more peace and she was happy. She was a beautiful person inside and out that will now be forever deeply missed and cherished.
Monica had a long beautiful life filled with many, many stories, both good and bad, but with every story there was a lesson to be learned and with that every story comes to an end.
