Nicolasa Silva (Nickie), 84 passed away to be with the Lord on January 9, 2016 in San Bernardino California. Nickie was born in Needles CA on September 10, 1931. At the age of 12 she moved to San Bernardino, CA and in 1960 married Jesse Silva. They moved to Parker AZ and resided there for 51 years. Nicolasa spent most of her life as a homemaker and she was best known for her thoughtfulness, love of family and generosity for anyone in need. She loved preparing hot tortillas, delicious green chili and tasty menudo for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse, two children George De La Torre and Grace Ocampo, granddaughter Earlene Lee. She is survived by her children, Aurelio (Linda) DeLaTorre, David (Aurora) DeLaTorre, Debbie (Baldwin) Eddy, Sherry (Bobby) Page, Diane Silva (Justo), Patricia Lopez, 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Rosary at Preciado Funeral Home, San Bernardino on January 21, at 6:00, funeral Services, Our Lady of Guadalupe, San Bernardino, CA Friday January 22, at 10:00 am. Burial following at Mt. View Cemetery “Mom we love you and will miss you but we are at peace knowing that you will always be in our hearts and we will see you again someday.’
