It is with deep sadness that the family of Rafael Perez announces his passing on December 9, 2024, at the age of 83. Rafael was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose warm presence and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born in Chavinda, Michoacan, Mexico on September 12, 1941, Rafael led a full and vibrant life. He was a man of great character, known for his high work ethic and his unwavering loyalty to family. His journey through life was one of adventure and was filled with many cherished moments with family and friends. From a small village, his work led him as far as Canada to work as a bracero. A hard working man, stories are told by family and friends of his commitment to excellence.
Rafael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carmen Alicia Perez Moreno, his daughters, Maria Perez-Jimenez, Ramona Perez Gutierrez, Leticia Perez Gutierrez, San Juanita Perez, and his son, Rafael Perez Jr. who will carry his memory with love and honor. He was predeceased by his parents, Jose Perez and Esperanza Rodriguez.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm at Preciado Funeral Home, 923 W. Mill Street, San Bernardino, California. The religious service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10am - 11am at Preciado Funeral Home, followed by the burial service from 11:30am - 12:30pm at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington Ave. Colton, California.
He will be remembered for his generosity, his wisdom, and the love he so freely gave. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Se llevará a cabo un velorio el domingo 22 de diciembre de 2024 de 5:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m. en Preciado Funeral Home, 923 W. Mill Street, San Bernardino, California. El servicio religioso se llevará a cabo el lunes 23 de diciembre de 2024 de 10 a. m. a 11 a. m. en Preciado Funeral Home, seguido del servicio de entierro de 11:30 a. m. a 12:30 p. m. en Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington Ave. Colton, California.
