Ralph Colunga's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ralph Colunga. He passed away peacefully on January 7, 2020 at the age of 54.
Ralph leaves behind his “Mommy”, Virginia Carrillo; son, Joseph Colunga; siblings Richard, Melissa, and Peter; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Ralph was born on November 10, 1965 in San Bernardino. He was raised in Colton and graduated from Colton High School where he was a CHS Wrestler. After high school, he proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp for 4 years. Ralph spent 25 years of his life as a dedicated Correctional Officer until he retired as a Sergeant.
Ralph loved his family and he was extremely proud of having been a Marine and a Correctional Officer. After retiring, he spent most of his days making his “rounds” in the city that held a special place in his heart, Colton. Ralph also enjoyed going to Vegas with his Mom, reading up on current events, listening to oldies but goodies, fishing, and was a BIG Patriots Fan. He adored his late Grandma Mary and late Grandpa Gilbert whom he referred to as “Mom” and “Dad”. Ralph will be most remembered for how he made everyone laugh.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations. Please contact Preciado Funeral Home if you are interested in donating.
Service information can be found below. Reception to follow the graveside services from 2:30 to 6:00 pm at Grand Salon Banquet Hall, 301 N. 7th Street, Colton CA 92324.
