Raul Castillo Arciero's Obituary
RAUL C. ARCIERO
June 18, 1949-July 18, 2024
Raul C. Arciero, age 75 of Colton, passed away July 18, 2024, at home. He was born June 18, 1949, to Arturo and Vera Arciero in Silver City, New Mexico. He was raised in Colton and graduated from Colton High School in 1967. Raul worked for the City of Colton for 25+ years and retired at the age of 48. He is survived by his wife, Esther, five children: Teresa Canchola (Michael), Raul jr. (Olga), Natalie, Danielle and Noel Bennington (David). He was fortunate to have 13 Grand Children and 3 Great GRANDS! He loved hanging out and doing things with his children and grandchildren. He was into everything you could ever imagine ... fishing, hunting, sports, 49ers, archery, motorcycles, dirt bike riding, Jeeping with the neighbors and riding the Seadoos with the kids. Most of all, he was in love with his 1962 Chevy Impala. He and his cronies would try to be the first in line to sign up for the Route 66 Rendezvous every year! Raul fought a long hard battle as far as his health was concerned. He had been on Dialysis since 2001. He received a kidney transplant in 2011. Unfortunately, his body rejected it after one year. He spent eleven months in the hospital and nursing homes beginning July 2023. His goal was to get well enough to come home. He finally met his goal and was able to go home the first week of June. He was home for six weeks and spent that time with his kids, grandkids, and great GRANDS... He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Raul was able to " Donate" the gift of life after his passing. His family would like to encpurage others to become "DONORS" in his Memory. Funeral Services will be held on August 16th.
