Raul “Jr” Nevarez, Jr, 67, of La Puente, CA, passed away on August 24, 2023 in Baldwin Park, CA.
Jr was born to Raul & Lupe Nevarez in 1955, in Los Angeles, CA and was raised in La Puente, CA. He attended Workman High School and graduated in 1974 and later joined the U.S. Army.
Jr is remembered for his deep dedication to his family and his hard work to provide for his family.
Jr is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sherry Nevarez of La Puente, CA., Raul is also survived by his children, Raul Nevarez, III, of Highland, CA., Monica Nevarez of Riverside, CA., Sonia Nevarez, of Long Beach, CA., and Isaac Nevarez, of La Puente, CA. Jr also leaves behind his 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving Jr are his parents, Raul & Lupe Nevarez, of La Puente, CA., and siblings, Arlene Chacon, of Upland, CA., Renee Espinoza, of Ontario, CA., and Jerry Nevarez of El Monte, CA.
Jr was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Isabella Gonzalez in 2004, his daughter, Esther Nevarez in 2005, and his brother, Art Nevarez in 2020.
Jr’s was always the life of family gatherings and will always be remembered at the sound of laughter.
