Raul Rodriguez's Obituary
Raul Rodriguez, 53, of Highland, CA., passed away on July 25, 2017 in Redlands, CA. Raul was born to Jose & Margarita Rodriguez in Downey, CA., in 1964. Raul spent his earlier years in the greater Los Angeles area and moved to Fontana, CA. when he was 11 years old where he later graduated from Fontana High School in 1982 he then joined the U.S. Army soon after graduating and proudly served his country until 1988. Raul married his wife of 30 years, Tina Rodriguez in 1987. Raul and Tina had their first son, Jose Rodriguez in 1992 and later Michael Rodriguez in 2000.
He enjoyed watching and coaching his son’s little league games at Highland, Baseline and Central Little League. Raul enjoyed time fishing and camping with his family in Kings Canyon, Seven Oaks and the Sierra Nevadas as well as the Glamis Dunes and Pismo Beach. Hodge Road in Barstow was a favorite shooting spot for Raul where he enjoyed target shooting with his some of his closest friends.
Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Tina Rodriguez of Highland, CA., son, Jose (Kim) Rodriguez, grandchildren, Carolina and Ethan of Highland, CA. He is also survived by his brothers, Peter (Elaine) Rodriguez of Perris, CA., Raymond (Lydia) Rodriguez of Diamond Bar, CA., Socorro (Janie) Rodriguez of Rialto, CA., Joe (Frances) Rodriguez of San Bernardino, CA., Frank (Anita) Rodriguez of Bloomington, CA., sisters, Ramona Lopez of Murrieta, CA., Margaret (Baudelio) Rubalcava of Stockton, CA., Lorraine (Tom) Ortega of Moreno Valley, CA., and brother in law, Rejino Molina of Artesia, CA., as well as many nieces and nephews.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Jose & Margarita Rodriguez, sister, Carolina Molina, son, Michael R. Rodriguez, brother in law, Alfonso Lopez, and brother, Manuel Rodriguez.
A Mass will be held for Raul at St. Adelaide Catholic Church in Highland, CA on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00am. A Viewing and Rosary will follow at Preciado Funeral Home in San Bernardino, CA at 12:30pm
