Rudy H. Barrera's Obituary
Rudy H. Barrera, at the age of 77, went to be with the Lord and entered into his eternal life on November 15, 2024, surrounded by family who loved him.
Rudy was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Stella; daughters Lena and Noreena; son Jesse Sr; grandsons Andrew, Jesse Jr, Jonathan, Timothy, Joshua; great grandchildren; brother Johnny (wife Lupe); sisters Gloria (husband Chuey), Shirley, Christina, Veronica, Joann (husband Garron), Diane (husband Michael), and many beloved nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by parents Ralph Sr. and Lupe, brother Ralph Jr., sisters Josie and Rosalie.
In 1966 Rudy went to serve his country, joining the United States Army. He was Vietnam Veteran and member of the American Legion, Post 155. He had a heart of gold and enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed listening to his music, dancing and most of all he enjoyed spending time with family. He was a loving, caring, person who touched so many lives. The joy, laughter and the smiles we will cherish always. He will be missed, forever in our hearts.
Viewing for Rudy Barrera will be at Preciado Funeral Home, December 4, 2024 at 5pm followed by a Rosary at 6pm. On December 5, 2024 a Mass will be held at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic, followed by a Graveside service at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery.
