I remember back when our boys; Mariano and Elias were little and Papa Jim worked at Disneyland. Ryan had found and showed me the secret entrance in the trunk of a tree that led down under Disneyland. At first I didn’t believe him but as I was telling him he was full of crap out came what looked like Snow White from this door in a tree trunk. I was shocked as we watched the woman push a button that closed the door. After she scurried off we both looked at eachother and headed towards that button. Me still pretty shocked that there was a secret door and Ryan with a I told you so look pushed the button, the door opened, and it revealed an elevator. I pushed the down arrow and we waited. The doors then opened and we both jumped in. But then I quickly jumped out and Ryan stayed in and the doors closed. I waited there for what seemed like an eternity. Finally he came back up. I asked where did it take you? He said to a big long haul way. That’s all he said. I then asked weren’t you scared. He said no, with a smile on his face. Ryan was never scared of anything. From finding the secret door when we were in our early twenties to swimming with the sharks in Hawaii, or even when we started our family.. he never was scared of anything. Ima miss you my friend, father of my two oldest boys and my partner on so many adventures. My memory is good and it’s long. You will never be forgotten.
