Sara Lopez's Obituary
Sara Lopez, age 91, passed away peacefully at Divine Home Care in Loma Linda on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
From her birth in San Jose, CA on February 8, 1928, Sara worked tirelessly to live her life exactly as she wanted. She was a San Bernardino, CA resident for over 50 years. Despite only completing the second grade, she had a long and varied career in the housekeeping industry where she forged many lasting relationships.
Sara married Juan F Lopez on May 16, 1962. They were married until his death on May 3, 1992. They enjoyed travelling, playing cards, and long drives along the coast. In her later years she was able to make her dream of world travel a reality. Sara had the soul of a bard. She told tales of adventure, tradition, and her travels. We will miss her stories.
Sara is preceded in death by her grandmother, three sisters, husband, and son, Ricardo Genera Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Irma Romero and Regina Williamson; grandchildren, Alyssa Draher, Alfred “Dons” Romero, Jaric Genera, Aaron Romero, Cori (Clayton) Casner, and Ronald (Goldie) Williamson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Draher, Autumn Romero, and Jaren Genera; a great-great-grandchild, Mia and nieces and nephews.
