Susan Medina's Obituary
On January 22, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, Susan Medina, age 35, died after her battle with cancer.
Susan was born on August 14, 1988 in Los Angeles, California to her mother Columba Medina and father Raul Medina, with whom she shared a birthday with. Susan graduated from Rialto High School in Rialto, California and went on to attend the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where she joined her beloved sisterhood, the Phi Lambda Rho Delta Chapter.
Susan was known for her love of coffee, giraffes and Harry Potter. She was an avid movie buff and could recite countless of lines from her favorite TV show, Friends. Throughout her lifetime, Susan was a true warrior, overcoming many health obstacles. She was an amazing daughter, sister and friend. Regardless of all the hardships she faced, she maintained her faith and lived life as best as she could all while making a huge impact in this world and on those that had the opportunity to know her. She often reflected on everything that she had accomplished and endured in her life with a grateful heart and knew that she was very fortunate to have been gifted the ability to spend all of the extra years she obtained from her two double lung transplants with her loved ones.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Preciado Funeral Home in San Bernardino, California. A mass will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Rialto, California followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary in Colton, California.
She is survived by her mother Columba Medina, father Raul Medina, older sister Faviola Medina, younger brother Raul Medina and newest addition to the family, her nephew Carlo Michael Medina-Pugliese.
