Thelma Gertrude Giarrizzo's Obituary
Thelma grew up during the depression, she was born January 4, 1933. Her mom Rhana Massey took her to church as a child and she accepted Christ at a young age. She wa born in Riverside, California and moved around alot due to the depression and lack of crops. she had three sisters and a brother, Alta, Alice, Evelyn and Herbert. At 18 years she met Robert Smaltz at a Church Service and the two were married two months later. He was in the airforce so they moved around a bit. They had 4 children together, Janet, Brenda, Carolyn and Sandy. In the early 70's they divorce. A few years later, she met Nicholas Giarrizzo and was remarried, They were married 20 years and lived in Highland, California. Thelma was blessed with 14 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Greatchildren. she always loved holding little babies and feeding them. Thelma attended the Assembly of God Church in San Bernardino until she got older and it became harder for her to get out. In her younger years she took a liking to square dancing. Her and Nick used to dance frequently and made alot of nice friends. Thelma had a real giving heart and she helped a lot of people including church ministries.One thing she loved was going shopping with her girls and going to lunch. She was close to her girls and very caring and a good mom and grandma.
