My name is Frank Manning. I went to San Bernardino High w/ David. I used to spend the night sometimes at his house on L Street. We would party in his back yard and listen to Tower of Power, etc. He always liked to keep it "mellow." He had a dog named Batman at one point.
He was always a really good artist. He would paint Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, etc. I also paint. If anyone has any artwork of David, like prints, I would love to get one, or two. You can reach me at [email protected].
It's interesting that I have been thinking of David lately. I went to see him about 10 years ago, and I wanted to go see him again. I was sad to see his obituary. Rest in peace, brother, you will always be a friend to me. Tower of Power forever!
