I remember going to my uncle's shop in south Colton ,after giving my Dad and brothers haircuts , he would play his guitar and sing ! Loved seeing him at his barber shop , he reminded me so much of my Dad , his brother.
I would take my grandpa Ruben Llamas often to Lupe for a haircut Lupe has been cutting his hair for almost 60 years .. my great grandfather had Llamas place a pool gal and barber shop by where the el Sobrero is .. Lupe took over his barber shop when my great grandpa opened a corner market.. I was there the week before Lupe retired last December before he closed up shop .. he’d been cutting my hair since I was a young boy as well.. so many memories .. so many great conversations! Colton has lost a true legend but Heaven has gained another Angel! RIP Lupe!

I would take my Dad for his haircut with Lupe every month. They would talk music, family and friends from back in the day. Lupe was very kind to my Dad and I will always appreciate him for that kindness 🙏
