Vivian Regina Jackson's Obituary
John 6:44 ~ “No one can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him, and I will resurrect him on the last day”
Vivian (Granny) Jackson passed away Friday evening April 24th, 2020 at 6:54pm in her daughter Mary’s arms while listening to song 139 “Teach them to stand firm”. Vivian was born August 14, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of late Rueben Sorrells and Anna Young.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Richard Elwood Jackson; her son, Donald Ivan Jackson; Her brothers, James E Potter, Rueben T. Sorrells, and John W. Sorrells; qher grandchild, David Wright Jr, and her great Grandchildren, Deshown and Dupree Kyle.
Vivian was a caring mother who loved everyone, she was always helping people and very giving. Everyone that knew her knew she loved Jehovah and would tell everyone she could about Him. Vivian became a Jehovah’s Witness April 2, 1974 and served Jehovah until her last breath. Her favorite songs were 136 “The Kingdom Is in Place-Let It Come!, song 137 “Grant Us Boldness”, and song 138 “Jehovah Is Your Name” (Psalm 83:18).
Vivian is survived by her large family; Sister : Birdie A. Williams, Children: Daughter ~ Rayva (Ray) Sorrells, Son and wife ~ James and Charmaine Jackson, Son ~ Richard Jackson, Daughter ~ Mary Jackson (Ang), Son and wife ~ Jon and Mirna Jackson and Son ~ David Wright. Grandchildren: Deon (DD) & wife Alison, James jr (Jay), Lakesha, Charde, Jesse, Chonta’e, Jonathon, Vivian, Ellena, Leonard, Jeremy, Jerijah, Raymar, Regina, Reggie, Ivan, Rueban, Isaac, Isaiah, Jasmine, Brandy, Bonae, Amanda, Christina, Joi, and Hayden. Great-Granchildren: Deontae (Tae-Tae), Christaesha, Christopher, Lydia, Adreana, Nomie, Ray jr., Reign, Elijah, Kamiya and Brianna. She also leaves behind many other family & friends who will sadly miss her.
Revelation 21: 3-4 ~ “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
